It would seem that CITV are planning on bringing back continuity presenters, if you read the description it mentions it's a pitch. Would seem strange as they've been trying to starve the channel.

Interesting. An appearance from Chloe in there, the new CBBC presenter.

Very interesting, and a step in the right direction for kids TV in the UK which has been very dull in terms of engaging with kids more recently (with the exception of CBBC of course).

Very impressive looking studio too, for a digital creation - although the whole set up is just a knock off of the CBBC office though.

Still, if it happens, it'll be good for kids TV.

Interesting that they're using The London Studios, when technically CITV isn't broadcast from there anyway and that the main office for CITV was last I checked in Manchester.

Good to see it happening though, even if the set is all CGI.

They used to broadcast from Central, but IIRC that's closed now.

I wonder if they sort permission before installing that neon sign on the LWT Tower. Razz

All of the digital stuff reminds me of the effects used during the 1983 era with that spaceship thing.

Thanks, sadly though the 'powers that be' at ITV chose not to move forward with this in the end, and look to have spent a fortune on new presenters instead (no names mentioned). So it seems Kids TV has been put on the back-burner!

CITV used to share a studio with Central News in Birmingham, with the two sets opposite each other and the cameras in the middle.

IIRC, the studio was fully partitioned into two separate studios after CITV moved out, with Central News East taking one half when the programme was moved from Nottingham. Now of course, there's just one edition of Central News. I'm not sure, but I guess one of the studios may now just used as a spare, although AFAIK, the building's still open.
