Not that I can remember, I think in reality either the regions took over early or more likely, The regions took over at the end of the show.
There was no GMTV 'see you tomorrow' caption, just a quick 'production' slide at the end of the show before the disney slide IIRC.

What's Up Doc ? was infact a co-production between Scottish Television and Warner Bros from the start.
TVS produced the programme for Scottish Television. The reason the production was based at Maidstone was due to a major refurbishment at STV Studios in Glasgow at the time when What's Up Doc took to the air.
In 1992 What's Up Doc had a TVS endcap, however prior to the endcap it showed on the credits " A TVS Production for STV Enterprises ", and the programme was copyrighted STV Enterprises.
A TVS endcap was shown because basically they produced it on behalf of STV for the network at that time. When TVS lost their franchise an STV Enterprises endcap was thereafter shown.
STV thereafter poached Exec Producer Nigel Pickard to come on board with them and bought up many TVS productions.
Once the refurbishment was completed at Glasgow, What's Up Doc, and programmes acquired from TVS namely Finders Keepers and HOW 2 moved from Maidstone to Glasgow.

I bet Pat Sharpe was pleased about that, wasn't he doing shows on Capital Radio at the time ??

The T-Room
It's even got all the songs they used to sing and opens with a midi of the theme tune

I can remember when CITV first went to out of vision mode, and I'm sure that beforehand they used a trailer for the new service which I'm sure had an animation where theCITV logo was made from beans on toast (don't ask, but I remember it) and I can remember the presenter saying once after that trailer that he was looking forward to it (not sure why- it meant he was out of a job!). Another thing I remember about CITV in the early-mid 90s was a couple of wolves they had (think they were called Bro & Bro) who first appeared on Wot's up Doc but got their own show (I think it was called Wolf It) and for soem reason they always ate everybody- soemone at CITV must've had a sick mind.

There have been a number of weird and wonderful CITV characters. Anyone remember Baljit (I think that's how you pronounce it) which was this hairy ball thing (no not Pat Sharpe) from What's Up Doc.
Other creatures include Gilbert the snotty alien, Knobby the Sheep and Jarvis the monkey (who miraculously had the same voice). Sidney the fly I think was from Wow !
And anyone remember that weird spotty bloke called Simon I think from What's Up Doc ? He was very odd, but very amusing, he had a bit of a fetish for cheese I seem to recall. After What's Up Doc ended the same guy turned up in Wow! later on as one of the Tea-Ladies as well.

I don't like to be insulting but his name was actually spelt as "Nobby" hence the painted N on his neck. For me the puppet itself was probably the highlight of both Ghost Train and Gimme 5.

And of course he appeared as Norm in the Twix ads. "Norm's the name, sensible's the game!"

Before invision continuity on citv returned in may 1998, they had short trailers leading up to it, with a space ship flying towards citv town accompanied by a 4 note tune, screen went black with the words THEY'RE COMING and the new logo beneath. The friday before relaunch on monday this trailer was shown with the ship hitting citvtown, screen to black, they're coming and evrything then stephen and dannielle jumped through the paper version of the end black screen to say that they are going to be on air from monday, screen then went to black with voiceover of "Ah! THEY'RE HERE!"
In later years The Disney Club started at 9.25, though GMTV had a sunday disney programme before it. In the last incarnation, you had Dave Benson Phillips and wake up in the wild room on saturday mornings followed by the power rangers, whilst on sunday it was Paul 'DES' Ballard and Craig Doyle (now on BBC's Holiday programme) with the road hog that was one of those old VW van things painted silver with orange dots and a hogs face on the front that traveled up and down the country each sunday. At the end of the roadhog, they linked into the disney club next, this was also linked by the old gmtv kids lightning logo next caption. In the last years of the disney club, quite a few presenters that are still going presented Reggie Yates - now smile, Fearne Cotton - now The Saturday Show, Smile, Call the Shots, Finger Tips and Eureka TV, Paul 'DES' (why is he nicknamed Des?) Ballard - DiGGiT until last year, dont know where he's gone, Sam someone that had dark brown/blackish hair went into hollyoaks a few years ago, and Craig Doyle now does the Holiday Programme. Craig then left and the last few series were the kids on their own. As Fearne and Des went on to do DiGGiT, they ended the show, and citv took over the slot following sunday DiGGiT. For some reason The Disney Club could only stay on till 10.15, and then citv stayed on till 10.30, one week from 9.25 till 11.30 - that was a good show started with stephen & dannielle in bed single shots of both, then they talked on the phone saying things like have we forgotten something, sat up sharply looked at each other with the two beds and different wallpaper trick shouting CiTV on a sunday, titles ran.
Has CiTV got a certain amount of hours it airs that they cannot exceed, as this morning there was no premiership repeat, but itv still put the story keepers on until citv started at 9.55. Why don't itv give up on crossroads, & let citv stay on air till 5.30 (or even 6 as all programmes on itv 5-6pm are rubbish) and show a classic programme a day or something.
P.S. Does anyone know why this weekend the cbbc channel have been reapeating the episode of dick & dom from 9am again at 1pm?
