Regarding super-long credits - I recall one of the programmes on Milkshake/Milkshake FM/Shake in the very early days of Channel 5 being an Australian programme, set in some kind of national park, with an incredibly long set of credits. Does anybody know what that programme was?

It's not what you are meaning, but Round the Twist, which was obviously also Australian, was also well known for it's very long credits. Maybe it was the done thing in Australia at the time.

Every incarnation of Round The Twist (4 to date) has credits that run seemingly forever and a day. Might just be a very clever psychological trick. It has been on Five but was most commonly seen on CBBC. It is also one of the best TV themes tunes I've ever heard Wink

The early Milkshake airing that WillPS was probably referring to was most likely "The Adventures of the Bush Patrol".

Plenty of good stuff not included though; Max's Millions, Bernard's Watch, Mopatop's Shop, Zzzap!!, Tots TV just to name a few off the very top of my head.

Other shows which could have been given an airing, this is off the top of my head: Emu pink windmill, Avenger penguins, How dare you, Chorlton, Thomas the tank engine, Dream street, Trap door. Dr Zitbag.

Bernard's Watch still turns up on occasion but it's never obvious from the listing whether it's from the original run or the half-baked reincarnation of 2004.

Thomas The Tank Engine is now apparently owned by Mattell.

Wasn't the final series simply called Bernard? That's one easy way to tell.

What better way to make even more money, just like HE-MAN in the 1980s, have control over a tv series to make all the toy etc .

Captain Zed and the Zee Zone, It should be made clear, Hit only controls the NON UK & eire tv rights to this series, This also apples to Meeow! both Series belong to Scottish television, Some website do not have correct information about this correct fact.

I wonder where this company got much of it details from? http://entertainmentrights.com/ which only of late................. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entertainment_Rights are companies that lazy now, there just taking detail from wiki.

I'd love to see their faces when a corporate website ends up using a vandalised wiki page. Got to happen sooner or later!

Yes it is, and I agree with you. It only ended six years ago and as such is too recent. Skillicious shouldn't have aired either, as that's even newer. The Worst Witch should've been the most recent programme shown, IMHO.

Well, it was meant to celebrate 30 Years of CITV - not 15. And in any case, the only programmes from the last ten years were MPAA (which is overplayed but also was incredibly popular, so deserved to be marked) and Enjy Benjy. Even that Finger Tips was 11 years old and you could tell due to the VHS make and very young Cotton and Mulherne. (and all the short things were only fillers you get most days anyway to make up the time in the schedule)

If they'd done the same weekend in 2003, the equivalent would be insisting there were no programmes shown from after 1988!

but of course there not been much home grown programmes since 2006

Take into account when shows ended, not when they started. It's more like 10 years than 15, and there's been hardly anything new since 2006 anyway that would've been eligible.

Was sooty 1985 episode cut by 4min?

If it was, then there wasn't any need for the Skillicious filler. Maybe something got cut not for time, but because of an unsavoury guest (Glitter, Savile, their ilk)?

That is utter madness! 363ep (1968-1992) yet the pick on that needed to be cut by 4-5mins. why not pick another epsoide.

ALL other Sootys ep runs from 19mins, yet this one is 15mins....
