What's the story behind "A Scottish Television production for TVS"? Why not just a Scottish production or a TVS production?
It's also notable how much of a powerhouse Scottish were. That thistle logo used to be a regular feature on ITV, whereas now, and for many years you never see any of the more modern STV logos.

When TVS lost it's franchise a deal was made with Scottish Television to carry on making its shows, which is why Scottish Television made a lot more shows than it normally would have done. As we have seen today How2 was originally a TVS Production until the end of 1992 when production carried on but made by Scottish.
In the case of What's Up Doc as TVS had the contract to produce the Live Saturday show, which would continue after the end of the franchise period, Scottish made the show on behalf of TVS until DEcember 1992, and then it became a full Scottish Television production from Janaury 1993
Add to that, Hence the reason why many of the TVS era tapes from show which went to STV are safe since there all went off to Glasgow. STV come along in late 1991( when Nigal Pickard moved). He had an office at Maidstone, that office stayed for 4 years until it closed in 1995. I was told there was alot of confused car drivers, driving down the M20 with a sign " Scottish Television"
