Saturday's Children's Ward and Press Gang featured not only subtitles but audio description too. I wonder what the provenance of that was. Have either of those programmes been repeated before where they are likely to feature audio description? Today's episode of Press Gang did not feature AD.
Presumably they still have to maintain their usual % of subtitled/AD programming, so had them done specially. My Parents are Aliens had Subtitles/AD today, as it probably always does, so that might mean they didn't have to do Press Gang.
I didn't see the early stuff on either day. What endcaps/production companies did Mike and Angelo, Wizadora, Spatz & Huxley Pig have on?
Woah, I just looked it up, and that's a very rare thing indeed - Mike and Angelo was originally a Thames production, which got taken on by Carlton (Thames stuff was usually just presented to network by another company until the rules changed)! Carlton used Tetra Films as a co-producer though. Trtra closed at the same time Mike and Angelo ended.

I was expecting them to cut the "next week on Spatz" part out, it was nice to see it left in. The episode that appeared on that part I have somewhere lost on VHS.
I'm not really surprised by that, but lack of other edits has. If this was the BBC then things like website addresses and e-mail addresses, as well as anything topical would have been edited out. It does look like they've just put whole programmes on air without any additional work.
Some of the contemporary references are interesting. The VHS tape make on Fingertips has been mentioned, but there was also Princess Diana, 'Come Dancing' and Nicolas Parsons in Spatz. I doubt that the kids knew who he was then let alone now, whereas they'll be more aware of ballroom dancing.
FULL IDENT JUST BEEN ON!!! just now, did anyone else see it?
Full ident for what?
30th CITV ident
Every show I've recorded this weekend has the full ident before it...
No it hasnt, the one at 5pm is longer
Indeed it was, I hope somebody captured it.
Kicking myself for not buying a set of blank DVDs for this weekend, that's for sure... I hope one of you generous, kind TVF people have been capturing all the frontcaps on high-quality disc for posterity.
Thanks to those who have provided caps in this thread - much appreciated.
