Well, both my kids loved the riddlers much to my surprise! Button Moon has been the absolute favourite though. Goes to show that a good show can transcend generations. It is a show I fondly remember as a kid and my kids love it too and even though by today's standards I lacks polish its nice easy watching.
I truly wonder if citv have ever taken their older programming to a focus group to see how well it works if shown today. Both my under 5s love what they have seen. Even Rosie and Jim is a hit and I hated that!
I hope they have a strand of retro programming, I've never watched citv with my kids (cbeebies/CBBC, nick Jr and Disney always) until today.

I imagine most kids have no prejudice about how old something is or its production value, so a retro strand would work for them. Bad example maybe, but my 4 year old niece loves Count Duckula, as we have them all on DVD. Bad example because that show really has not aged at all.

It dosent even have to be a strand just one or two shows from yesteryear and see if it brings in the audiences.
