Some endcaps from Todays shows, I've brushed out the Old Skool logo and colour corrected it where possible.

I'll have some more once I got the rest of the recordings off the hard drive.

I remember liking Finders Keepers as a child, but it's so much better than I remembered. Neil Buchanan did an amazing job - easy to forget how versatile he was given that since 2000 all he's done is Art Attack (which I understand has made him a very rich man - deservedly, he always comes across as a thoroughly nice guy).

The format really had everything, a cool studio, a variety of different elements leading to a spectacular finale, a catchy theme tune and a massive score on the 'want to do it' scale.

Incidentally, I'm sure I remember watching Finders Keepers for the last time during the CiTV era - probably the period they were still at Broad Street. Would this have been a repeat?

Matt Bowen Twitter "It's difficult, because CITV has to provide shows for the kids of 2013 - I think the weekend has worked because it's special too". Well it doesn't look like it will be back again, I know he means the "kids of 2013" and not the programmes, but not many shows on CITV are from 2012 nevermind 2013. I also agree about it being 'special'. Sorry if this has been posted.

There was a Thames frontcap at the start of Spatz, but this was a Canadian co-production.

Apparently the final, 1996 series was repeated in 1998, early in the new invision era, which has led many to think it ran until 1998.

The revival was in 2006 at the fag-end of CITV commissioning studio shows.

From the looks of the end credits, the 1992 series of "Spatz" was just a Thames production; the first series was definitely a UK/Canada co-production and I think the good ratings led Thames to provide full funding for the next two series.

The skyline ident at the start of "Spatz" and "Mike and Angelo" were most likely sops to the international market. As for the one seen at the start of this episode of "Rainbow", Geoffrey's outfit suggests this is from well inside the frontcap era Wink

I was expecting them to cut the "next week on Spatz" part out, it was nice to see it left in. The episode that appeared on that part I have somewhere lost on VHS.

Whilst I agree that citv has to provide shows for a wide audience, both my kids are captivated by Rainbow. I know they'll love Button Moon because they have it on DVD and enjoy watching it there.

Don't know what they think of The Riddlers... The music still sends a shiver down my spine even now. Doesn't seem that long ago I was watching it at lunch time in the 1990s when I was skiving off school though!
