Shame they are showing a latter episode of Children's Ward instead oh well, it was a mixed day but still some great stuff shown.

I've seen it before, but the endcap just shown on Children's Ward is still an odd one:

A rare sighting of a Granada Media Childrens/Granada endcap there. Very rarely seen because I think it was only in use for a short time, and by this time they wouldn't show endcaps on CITV anyway.

They should've shown a different episode of Dramarama, considering they put Childrens Ward on soon after anyway. That's also probably why they elected for a latter episode too.

I thoroughly enjoyed today. The only complaints people seem to have had online have been pretty minor and petty. Well done to all involved.

I'd never seen that before - it's rather gorgeous.

Woof! and Press Gang (which I've never seen) were brilliant to and although CITV is probably not the place for such reruns in full (certainly not unless it went 24/7) these two shows are ones that could probably sustain a full rerun - though they'd probably be better off airing a series back to back in a day rather than expect people to commit to weekly or daily airings.

There was a Yorkshire TV version of it as well, seen (or in most cases not seen) on the first few series of My Parents are Aliens.

If the weekend has been a success, I could see them, and hope, that they make it maybe an annual thing. This time of year is probably dire for adverts in kids tv so they wouldn't lose anything.

Some of the serious dramas could in theory fit in on ITV3 in a normal albeit off peak slot.

Thats a very good suggustion Granada Plus many moons ago had a classic kids strand but they used to show it in the morning when kids were in bed, Press Gang would work really well I just think it needs to be shown on a channel more regular it shouldnt be dusting away in the archives.

I think the Mini CITV brand is being phased out. https://mobile.twitter.com/MiniCITV/tweets
I got an error, here's a working link: https://twitter.com/MiniCITV/status/287150383611129856

To be fair, the Worst Witch is pretty recent compared to most things shown. Even that episode of Funhouse didn't look massively dated considering its age, apart from prizes like the Sega Megadrive prize.

By the way, which copied which - The Worst Witch or Harry Potter? Razz

The Worst Witch was first by a long way- the first book was published in 1974!
The TV show, however, was riding the waves of the Potter phenomenon, as it started two years after the first HP book was released. It certainly worked, as the show lasted several years and had two spin-offs.

What studio was Finders Keepers shot in? It's a massive set and the top floor seems awfully close to the lighting grid or was it a bit of university challenge style trickery?

It would have been Studio 2 maidstone. 6000FT, I believe MoM was also filmed here.
