Agreed not sure what the criteria is for the episode selection see if I was deciding it would have been from the original series.
Probably giving consideration to the younger audience that wont get the nostalgia factor. Certainly the episode for Knightmare was more action packed than any of the ones from the first few series. Also it makes perfect sense to pick an episode with no start or end quest seeing as only one ep is getting shown.

Hmm, they could have chosen a better episode of Knightmare. Starts right in the middle of the quest, and has (I think) the worst of the theme tunes. The original theme tune with animated title sequence was for me far more exciting.

It was quite a good episode of Knightmare. A single, well advanced quest with lots of scenes.

The Worst Witch has aged quite well, even the blue screen stuff doesn't look that terrible. Does it get repeated at all normally? I can imagine it would do quite well and it's in widescreen.
There have started with the First Epsoide.... I wonder there there planing to repeat the series again?

The Worst Witch was first by a long way- the first book was published in 1974!
To be fair, the Worst Witch is pretty recent compared to most things shown. Even that episode of Funhouse didn't look massively dated considering its age, apart from prizes like the Sega Megadrive prize.
