There was a much longer version of the robots on youtube, sourced from the original laserdisc but I can't find it now.
The bloke in question had some real gems on that channel, but he took a majority of his ITV stuff down, and now he's got nothing on his channel. Shame.

You could always pm him on ask?
I asked him a while ago about where some of his CITV material went, and he claimed that because he no longer worked for Central (or whatever company he worked for) he had to take the videos down.

He must still own copies?
Possibly, but I don't know whether he'd end up in some legal issue if he kept them uploaded. Either that or he just didn't want them up anymore.

You really have Mist the point.................................
I have spoken to fair few people who, have sent me a few wonderful piece, There is also a few I have never GOTTEN back to since I believe I could wait a week, but other things have created a backlog, but give it a try, you might get an interesting CHAT out of person.
During the period when I was target audience (unlike the bit where I was the student watching kids tv like you do), I was generally a CBBC child, although there was a few occasions I'd watch CITV.
Highlights I'm looking forward to are probably Knightmare, Finder's Keepers, Art Attack 1992 style, Fun House, Woof and Children's Ward, plus it's a good excuse to have a reason to watch My Parents are Aliens and some of the more recent stuff again.
The genre of serious drama like Children's Ward in kids TV, has almost entirely disappeared. Looking at clips on YouTube it seems superior to Waterloo Road and that is in prime time. The credits both in front and behind the camera reads like a who's who of Coronation Street & Emmerdale.
Yes, when CITV ended on ITV1 and CBBC decided to stop making shows for those over 12 children's drama especially pretty much died. CBBC are doing a bit more now it seems (do they officially have to target young teens once more now Switch is axed?) - but I don't think CITV have had a single original live action drama or comedy since the CITV channel launched - so just loop My Parents are Aliens continuously.
