this could be rather interesting, but we need more info...

Quote:

The TV legends that are the Chuckle Brothers are to get their own Saturday tea time show, almost a decade after ChuckleVision ended.

Chuckle Time will be on Channel 5, who describe it as an hour-long "family friendly clip show".

It will mix sketches performed by Paul and Barry with videos of "fails, flops and funnies" uploaded by viewers.

The pair, both now in their 70s, have been children's TV fixtures since the 1980s.

There will be 12 episodes in the new series and no transmission date has yet been announced.

It just sounds like they've roped them in for another "x Makes You LOL" series.

Just not quite as funny as it'll be "x Makes You CHUCKLE".

I wasn’t really aware they’d ever left TV.

That's what repeats do for you. One of them was in something last week (a comedy I think but can't recall what!) - seemed odd seeing one without the other.

Was it Still Open All Hours? Barry was in a few episodes of that.

It was the Keith and Paddy Picture Show, Paul Chuckle was in last weeks.

They were on Benidorm this series, they regularly turn up on stuff like Pointless Celebrities.

I think this over the top massive press coverage of their ‘return to TV’ is like the over the top massive press coverage about the lottery ‘moving to ITV’. When you get past the sensational coverage, it isn’t really that much of a big deal.
