You might be faster emailing the BBC and asking them. Its *unlikely* it will be played 2 years in a row. It was a tremendous programme though. I watched it right through last christmas.

Hear Hear!! One of the best programmes ever made - the title music was almost as dramatic as the programme!

"Happy Christmas from us all at BBC Two!, Now remember this?....<BOOM>"

It is being repeated on the History Channel at the moment.

And I heard an announcment at the end of one of History Channel's transmissions of it saying that the series was available on VHS or DVD (can't remember which) from their online shop. Could be a good Christmas pressie?

I like History Chan. Usually something interesting on, whenever I hit it.

Hmmmm - if it wasn't for those people you'd be speaking German now, so show a little gratitude.

BBC unTALENT
A brilliant program... with actual interviews from the decision makers of the war and other main characters. Impossible to recreate as, as time goes by, more and more people involved in the war are no longer alive. I hope it is on again, but I doubt it.

I never understand that argument. What's wrong with speaking German? That would have been the least of our problems.

I suspect you might be missing the point somewhat. It certainly didnt glorify the war but went some way to explaining how it came about.
