As we've done for a couple of years, it's time to make us all feel a bit better about what's being served up on our screens over the festive period by looking at what other countries have to put up with...

Regardless of the on-going strike, Christmas TV in the US is always this crap. HBO have got the Extras finale on Christmas Day though (they must be desperate! )


Can't seem to pick up Australia's yet for Christmas Day - the listings I've found are only up to Christmas Eve. If anyone can find them please add - otherwise I should be able to get them in a couple of days.

What? I didn't know Deal or No Deal went on for that long in the states. From what I've seen, it's tedious even after around five minutes across the pond.

There seems to be a lot of either crime or medical dramas - a rather gloomy schedule all round, I note.

Americans are obviously capable of finding better things to do at Christmas then watch TV.

As I see it, although Christmas as a whole is worth more commerically, American TV tends to pull out their big guns for Thanksgiving and usually Christmas is a bit quieter, from what you see on US programmes anyway.
