What an interesting Blog, not just the clips of Aussie TV but also the opinions of British TV idents (he likes the BBC1 idents for example!)

To be honest, not too sure of the setup but its very basic analogue as they have just six channels.Next time, Im near the tv, I will make a note of the channels.

Thanks russnet, yep it could be possible the dish is pointing at is at 5W, where the reception for the transmitters in France come from.

I dont think there is a dish about, either that or I cant see it. The channels themselves, annoying asthe dogs are just TF1, 2, 3, 5 and M6 or 6M depending on which way round it is as the DOG overlaps itself. So whether its all part of the same network, branding is pretty much alike across the channels.

Lots of channel across Europe are having some special Live Christmas programmes from their cities. We don't have that.

thanks russnet, looks like it's been picked up via the analogue transmitters, as they are the public channels, and no sub channels etc, you would have had more english programmes if they had TPS or Canal.

Mostly reruns and Christmas themed movies. Only national news, no local news here in Calgary, Global TV usually runs local news from Toronto or Vancouver..
I'm not sure if it'll be CBC or CBC NewsWorld carrying The Queen tomorrow.

Well one highlight on TF1 last night included a show called The Best Bloopers, I had to laugh when it went from French programme bloopers to one from TVam of all places then TSW! GMTV cropped up a couple of times, upon further investigation, it appears half the footage came from TVs naughtiest blunders in which some of the footage left Neil Morriseys voiceover intact!

Well TF1 in France has just played the Weakest Link at 5pm, it appears to be a family version featuring couples of older as in grandfather type age and grandchildren and then a very non festive edition of a bog standard Millionnaire. Not quite the Doctor Who that I wanted to watch at home and I forgot to record it, doh!

I believe Thanksgiving is the time when US shows tend to push the boat out, as more people are watching, Thanks to special themed episodes of shows and NFL.
