Who do you think the main candidates are for C4's Alternative Christmas Message this year?

If they opt for a topical speech, Alistair Campbell or someone with relations to Iraq, but if they went for comedy, I think Peter Kay would be an excellent rival to the Queen.

Why not Saddam Hussein giving a talk about his annis horribilis ?

After all, if you had lost your country and your two sons, it would not exactly have been a good year.

And if they did, who would win the ratings war? Mr Hussein or Mrs Windsor?

Right, we've talked about the Ideal BBC One Xmas Schedule..........But one thing that Ive thought about is what about the BBC One Xmas Ident.

Last years was annoying because they played it before every single programme. So do you think a small set of idents for xmas is a good idea, and do you have any ideas for an ident.........any channel.

Time for the thinking caps Forum

Re: BBC1 idents. They will probably do what BBC2 did last year and introduce a new ident alongside last year's.

So the one thing that has become clear is we want "Noel's Christmas Presents" back, so if the BBC doesn't care come on ITV or SKY !!

Much as I would like Noel Edmonds back on BBC1, this is one programme of his I don't miss. It's saccharine TV to the point of sickly and was the reason I once spent so much on sick bags! Rather like Hearts of Gold.

I pray, for tradition's sake, there'll be one never-before-seen ident.

Well, it certainly does sound like "Hearts of Stone" would be more your cup of tea. What an unpleasant thing to say.

I agree some were a tad patronising but most were pretty good!

I think they should run a Xmas Sketch Show special, what do you think?

Says the person who gave nearly as much coverage to Laura Sadler as I did to Crossroads...

Children, do play fair please! I'm delighted to say I don't have a heart of stone and those people featured in Noel's programme are all deserving. That doesn't mean to say I have to enjoy the show - just a personal issue I suppose.
