Can't believe they even kept in the judder at the end of the clip! Clearly someone has spent a lot of time and attention to detail on reproducing it. Certainly brings back memories for me as a kid.

Coca-Cola, Toys R Us...just need the Yellow Pages one now!

And the Hellman's Mayonnaise... and even the Quality Street-tree/fire-made-of-sweets one is now a festive must for me. Wonder if the Andrex Duck will come back also....

Bloody hell, I actually remember that Andrex advert. I was in Nursery school and they played that Slade track and I instantly thought "It's the Andrex song!" Amazing what sticks in your head.

Is the Hellman's Mayonnaise one still going? I don't even know how old it is but it feels like it's been around forever, mid-90s at least. I have it on tape from ad-breaks from Christmas 2005 so it was still going then. Yellow Pages usually appears a couple of times on Christmas Day now, it's only recently they updated the shot of the book as it was still proudly proclaiming '1992/3' at the start of this decade!

Just had to come out for lurking hibernation to note how awesome it is to see the Toys R Us one back - nothing says being warm and snug out of the freezing Glaswegian winter than that jingle..

Yes I saw it yesterday! Strangely I do not remember that Andrex advert (although I remember the end slogan but perhaps it is a generic slogan) thank gooseness, it is terrible!

Additional: I have only seen the Toys R Us advert once more since my last post and that was the talking one.

Quite a few details released today by the BBC - official listings should be confirmed early next week, but based on previous years we'll probably get the "TBA" guides in the papers towards the end of the week.

^ Thankfully It sounds like 'The Royal Family' has gone back to basics. Last years episode was awful.

Why was it awful? I quite liked it.

It shouldn't have moved from the living room and I fear they might be overdoing it now since it finished on a high with Queen of Sheba but we'll wait and see.
