Still waiting to hear what Coca-Cola is doing.

Same strategy as recent years, ie trucks from mid-November to mid-December followed by a new campaign through to Christmas Day. Read about it here.

I expect it'll first air during The X Factor then

Much preferred it when they did it the other way round, saving the trucks for the actual run-up to Christmas.

Yay! Very Happy

I was keeping an eye out for the official press release, which strangely only came out yesterday. Great to see the 30 second 'Holidays are Coming' advert will be running for a whole four weeks - three weeks longer than last year's effort!

Quote:
Airing for the first time during Saturday night's X Factor (14th November), the iconic ‘Holidays are Coming' ad underpins the first ‘anticipation' phase. The renowned Coca-Cola truck will return to screens in this high-profile slot, signalling to all that Christmas is just around the corner.

Very Happy

The Holidays Are Coming commercials are one of the signs that Christmas is on its way. But I hate the creepy Paedo Santa ad that they've shown for the last few years.

Think I read in the Metro that Toys R Us are airing the old "There's millions said Geoffrey all under one roof..." ads this year.

I remember someone writing into TV Weekly in the late 80s/early 90s saying they thought the advert went "There's millions of debris all under one roof" Very Happy

I forgot about this advert! Oh dear I hope they remaster it before it airs as the last time it was shown (sometime in the early Nineteen Ninety Tens (proper way of saying 'the 2000s')) it was looking rather faded.

Remember everyone, the 1980s is back with a force so don your favourite curly wig, have a miners strike, eat a Pasty, become a Yuppie, watch Last of the Summer Wine, head to your local amusements and play Space Invaders, go to Wimpy, visit Our Price, call your 'Mutha' on your brick and tell her you will be late back from Bejams as the Leyland National has broke down but remember, relax, don't do it, even if you don't want to go through wi'it.

I miss the '80s!
