The W&G ident last year did get a little tiresome over the weeks it was on. I hope that whatever ident they do, they will have more than a couple variations.

There's a lot of talk about this Dr Who Christmas ident but can anyone definitively confirm this is actually going to be the ident?

Indeed. Just wait for the BBC 1 Christmas ident talk to materialise

Thank you besty, a poster that hasn't torn me to shreds about this topic. I am not sure which TV stations who would not have already spoken about Christmas TV yet, but certainly the BBC & ITV have already released details of some Christmas specials.

BBC - Victoria Wood, Cranford, Catherine Tate
ITV - Ant & Dec Christmas special, An audience with Susan Boyle

to make but a few.

Hello. Firstly, I think that talking about Christmas at anytime of the year is perfectly fine as I love Christmas and always have! I do appreciate that others prefer Christmas to be kept at Christmas though. But hey ho! Christmas is eight weeks this coming Friday so it'll be here in five minutes!

Secondly, from research the BBC again seem to have a strong line up. The shows that are likely to be on are:

Victoria Wood's Midlife Christmas
Catherine Tate's Christmas Carol
Cranford
Day of the Triffids
The Turn of the Screw
Cranford
Doctor Who
Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special
EastEnders (to include an explosive exit for two characters)

and of course, the traditional terrestrial movie premieres that are yet to be confirmed.

There's also a Graham Norton New Year's Eve special planned too!

So all in all, Christmas on BBC1 is looking pretty good.

Why would I expect it? Because there was one at the beginning of October last year.

Aye, with two pages of people saying, "too soon".

Scrooge will be making an apperance on ITV1, too - they're just looking for a lead role...
