Christmas TV programming thread 2013

It's a very weak line up from ITV. Very unimpressive.

When's the Christmas episode of Through the keyhole airing? Is that on the Saturday 21st?

In the era of Sky+, Freeview+ and iPlayer, I don't see the issue.

Their will also be a special Show Me The Telly.

I think the fact Radio Times have given their cover to the Snowdog for the second year running (for a repeat outing) highlights how poor TV is this Christmas.

Well, not really, because it's extremely rare the Christmas cover actually relates to a programme anyway.

Are the ITV Pantos getting an outing on ITV2 again this year or have they finally been retired? It's a bit of a Christmas TV tradition now.

They are being shown again this year. Just looks like they are not doing a showing on Christmas Eve like they have done for last few years

Thanks for that! I've always thought it's a bit odd they still show them on ITV2 and not ITV or ITV3, seeing as their target audience and programming has changed quite a lot since they first aired. But at least they're still getting an airing

I see the Snowman is on C4 twice this Christmas. Is this the first time this has happened?

No - think it's often aired on Christmas Eve and been repeated on Christmas Day.
