I guess it's Christmas for many now it has aired.

Also the Iceland ad is top notch with Gene Wilders Pure Imagination.

At one time only M&S and one or two others did those epic adverts at Christmas

Now every other retailer seems to want to out epic each other with those long adverts.

They're all pretty lousy this year. They seem to be focussing on the theme of hassled mums.

The only thing that makes it any good is the song though. The visuals are just forgettable cliches, I assume. I honestly can't remember. I have only seen it once and I can't remember what was shown on screen at all bar the "Pure Imagination" text at the end. I don't think it is Gene Wilder either.

Hasn't another advert recently used Pure Imagination as a soundtrack?

Also, I dislike INTENTLY the way it's been cut mercilessly to fit the advert - why can't they shoot the ad to fit the music?

EDIT: To answer David's question - it IS Gene Wilder's version of Pure Imagination lifted from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

EDIT 2 : The other advert was Sky Movie's "ad-free" movies ad:
