Isn't this just a mick take of the John Lewis advert in a roundabout way?
Yeah, it's the reason why I love it.

Seems somewhat surprising, some would say excessively so, that significant chunks of tonight's Friday Night is Music Night on BBC Radio 2 is being devoted to the music behind Channel Four's Christmas Special 'The Snowman and The Snowdog'.

I also heard a feature on it on 6 Music yesterday, and there was a bit on Breakfast this morning. Their PR team must be loving it.

It couldn't have asked for more in terms of promtion - an ident, the RT cover and ample of interest from all areas of the media, yet they stick a remake of a kids classic on at 8pm on the one night parents have no trouble getting their kids to bed.

Having the kids stay up past 8pm on Christmas Eve is hardly sacrilege, especially as it's only half an hour.

That's not how I remember Christmas Eve.

If only Channel 4 could give it some kind of repeat airing around 2pm on Christmas Day.

When most the nation are otherwise occupied. It's arguably the most hyped show of the Christmas schedules and yet it'll face Corrie and Merlin when C4 could easily have scheduled it earlier in the evening at around the same sort of time The Snowman reruns usually air.

Channel 4+1? 4oD? Freeview+? Sky+? TiVo? Freesat+? All that on top of two airings?

Not to forget it's getting repeated on E4 and 4Seven, I'm surprised they've given it an 8pm airing, not that I'm complaining! Very Happy

And, of course, E4+1.
