Much replayed sport over the Christmas Period on the Red Button, not quite as I had envisaged earlier in this thread but decent enough ...

More4 has got into the Christmas spirit with two new idents and frosty break bumpers.

The More4 Christmas idents were shot on Iceland and produced by ManvsMachine and 4Creative. They can be viewed in HD in the links below:

RTÉ have launched their Christmas presentation, although from what I've seen it's the exact same as it has been for the past few years, everything gone red and carol singers on RTÉ One. Very early though of them, in previous years it didn't launch till Christmas Eve or very close to it.

Unless I'm missing something, is anyone else a bit disappointed that there's no Olympic inspired programme on the BBC over Christmas? I know that there's a DVD available and we've just had Sports Personality but it would've been brilliant to have a London 2012 review at Christmas to roundup our historic year. Seems a perfect opportunity missed to put a seal and stamp on the Games and the memorable year.

They did a BBC Three '50 Greatest Moments' thing, they're repeating some big days on the red button over Christmas/New Year. There's also a repeat on Sat 29th of Eddie Butler's review of the games - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01m880f.

Oh, there's Superstars: Olympic thingmabob special coming up too.

Are they repeating the Opening Ceremony? I'd watch that.

Completely agree - the snowy night version looks pretty top notch! Definitely the more Christmassy of the two.

Not seen much telly recently, but this one stands out as brilliant.

Isn't this just a mick take of the John Lewis advert in a roundabout way?
