Is the BBC TWO logo in the centre for promos becoming standardised now?

It would certainly seem so.

So Brekkie hates the wonderful Magic Sprite cutouts, and x-wing hates the wonderful 2-Town.

No pleasing some people!

Surprised
Where in that comment did I claim that I hate the ident? I like it a lot. My point was that they shouldn't repeat it year after year like the previous ident. When I initially saw the magic sprite, I was greatly impressed, to the point that I was happy enough to see it the next year. Hardly anyone can disagree however that the ident had gone stale by the end of it's run. Just hearing THAT tune seemed grating enough.
That's all that can be said really Smile

It was clearly designed for a repeat run, in fact the videos posted last year by the agencies/production staff flagged it as "BBC Two Christmas 2011/2012".

It's an absolutely brilliant, classic set but I hope it doesn't crop up again next year... because hopefully a lot of things will have gone out the window by December 2013. (surely? pleeeeeease?)

Have you considered asking Santa and his workers - via the usual letter - to lobby for a rebrand?

Please ITV, I hope you've got a Christmas ident in the style of the trailer.

Here's hoping that they do have an ident based on that, unless they bring the text Santa approach to the idents again.

Looks like they have. Quite nice too.

Liking the end board on the trailers too.

Notice that the v/o says 'Merry Christmas from ITV' not 'ITV1'.
