I've been hearing that the first tx of the BBC One Christmas Ident will be on Saturday, instead of the 8th. Anyone else hear this?

I've not heard that myself, George. I must say that I don't think it's good for it to be so soon...

I would echo the comment from Will on the previous page re: early TX dates; commencing the broadcast ever earlier in the month will further take away from the special nature of the presentation, until it loses that quality altogether... They can't keep pushing it forward.

The line has to be drawn somewhere. IMHO, it should move back in the other direction a little... It would be a miracle if they actually saved the symbols until the 22nd.

The Films/Drama/Entertainment trails have debuted on the first Saturday of December for some time now, maybe crossed wires?

Apparently the One Show will feature the switching on of the TVC Christmas lights on the 11th

Saw a very well put together trailer set to All I Want for Christmas by The Puppini Sisters after BBC Wales Today at 1:45pm. Is this new?

Edit guess it started yesterday

Looks like last years BBC Two idents are back.

No surprise considering how well received they were and how the awful previous set were around for years.

Let's just hope it's this year and only this year

Somehow, not a surprise.

But, thank goodness it's only the first re-showing of a look that was new last year - and not , as so easily could have been by this point, a re-re-re-re-re-use of the paper forest / 'sprite'...

Is the BBC TWO logo in the centre for promos becoming standardised now?

So Brekkie hates the wonderful Magic Sprite cutouts, and x-wing hates the wonderful 2-Town.

No pleasing some people!
