It varies from store to store - some simply hold them back to sell the earlier editions.

£2 though, and TV Times £1.99. The Scrooge in me opted for the 80p What's on TV, especially considering we already know there is absolutely nothing on worth watching over Christmas.

Well if they fancy sending a vanload up to Aberdeenshire, there's plenty of us waiting for a copy.

Well you know it's Christmas when the festive edition of Radio Times is published and the Sky EPG starts playing seasonal music! Laughing Laughing

Well you get what you pay for - Radio Times and TV Times are clearly better quality. And they are only charging double what it cost for an issue - Radio Times is always £1 anyway.

They arent on sale down here yet - as I said before they always go on sale on the Tuesday here so I never expected to see them any sooner. Its still far too early for them to go on sale especially since the previous issue only hit the shelves last Thursday.

I'll be getting a Christmas Radio Times , as What's On TV is carp and I always find the TV Times to be overloaded with soap opera offal.

Usually do get a second one - think I'll probably opt for the Total TV Guide for that this time.

Put The Telly On
I'll be getting the Christmas Radio Times as I have done for the past 5 years now. I didn't used to bother (made do with the Saturday newspaper guide) but I wanted to join a tradition.

These are on subscription I take it? I bought an RT yesterday having given it a quick glance and seeing snow on the lettering. I obviously concluded this meant it was the Christmas edition, but no it's for next week instead Why put snow on a pre-Christmas issue? Scratch Head

Errr....forgive me for being pedantic but the bold letters at the head of the page spelling out " Programmes for 15-21 December 2007" should have to9ld you what edition it was for. Also, it is a RT tradition to put out a photographic Xmas cover the week before the illustrated edition of the Xmas one.

The key is "having given it a quick glance" Wink I really do not pay much attention to listings magazines, as we never had one in the house when I was growing up, except at Christmas. I took one glance at the snow, did sort-of think it was a bit early, but thought it must be the right one with the snow on the lettering. Simple.
