In 2004 it was a Saturday and went 1840 Emmerdale, 1940 Corrie, 2040 World Idol. Quite dull.
Didn't they have Parkinson that night as well - with Lilly Savage IIRC? I think that was actually quite a decent line-up compared to what we usually get.

Interesting ITV schedule. I'm not sure that it's the greatest place for TV Burp between two soaps. I'd have expected it to be on the Saturday after as Harry on Paul O'Grady said that they were going to talk about the soaps and Christmas plots mainly. Strange if they can do this before Corrie and whilst Eastenders is on.
That's the curse of ITV on Christmas Day, they always seem to go with soaps for an hour.
Has anybody got the schedules from the last Christmas Day on a Saturday where ITV tried something different from the soaps with things like World Idol.
Do you think that ITV should try to compete with entertainment programmes as well as soaps or should they just air the soaps and dramas?

Sounds like my Christmas Eve idea, except having Corrie 30 min with Emmerdale and replacing that with Ant & Dec.
I think I prefer the idea of Love Actually going out on Christmas Eve to lead you into Christmas, but it works.
As Brekkie said maybe they should have saved Parky's last show for Christmas Day, but who are we to decide what goes on and goes where?

Maybe they'll put The British Comedy Awards on Christmas Day....
Sorry, I'm not gonna let this one go.
