I doubt it. They'll probably get rid of one person per group, per week.

I expect the start of December, or perhaps the second week into December.
The reason being that Simon Cowell was reported to have said that the winner's single will be released on Monday 20th December so that it will chart on Boxing Day, when not many people will release singles.
So I presume they're after an easy number 1.
Though there is the thing that people may go out and buy more Christmas Singles from Monday 20th (even if they were released for the Christmas chart on Sunday 19th) in the run up for Christmas Day the following Saturday.

Is that a recent acquisition for ITV?
It would be unlikely to receive a terrestrial premiere before it has even been played on Sky Movies.

I know ITV1 have the rights to Love Actually, will they be broadcasting that this Christmas?

The last in the series of X Factor is to be shown on Saturday 11th December on ITV1.
I have noticed now on the BBC Press Office website that already week 45 (6th - 12th Nov) has been scheduled, so in a couple of weeks hopefully the Christmas schedules will be in their early planning stages which will probably be when the xmas TV guides will be released in the newspapers. One year those early guides came out as early as the middle of November.

Channel 4 are doing the 100 Greatest Christmas TV Moments this year according to http://www.in4mer.com .
On top of Christmas specials of Shameless and Teachers, looks like C4 might acknowledge Christmas this year.

Any chance of any new Christmas Idents this year?
I do like how they have the Christmas Tree logo at Christmas though. If only they could do something with it.
For Example... Family Christmas
Living room scene, christmas ident music playing through TV, pan around the living room, nan asleep on chair, kids running around with presents, you can see mum through the kitchen door cooking, and then in the corner, a giant white cube with the Christmas Tree in, that then glows and turns into the 4 logo (perhaps postioned by a snowy window scene.
Or example 2... Christmas Shopping
Panning around a busy street scene, fully decorated, snow falling, pan around past a shopping centre, with the Salvation Army in the background, and then get to a giant white cube next to the shopping centre with the Channel 4 Christmas Tree that then glows and fades to the channel 4 logo.
Example 3... Christmas Escape
Pan around a snowy forest (in a snowy country), past some Reindeer walking with a light bell tune in the air, continuing round, there's a log cabin and stood next to it the white cube with Channel 4 Christmas Tree that then glows into the Channel 4 logo.
Maybe they could even have the cubes covered in Christmas Lights.
If you don't get it, the theme of them would basically be replacing real christmas trees with the Channel 4 Christmas Tree Cube.
What do you think?
Edit: Trailers would consist of either the usual tree wipe, or a spinning on - E4/C4 type promo. Maybe even having 4 on two sides and the tree on the other two.
For the idents, the cube would always end up on the right and therefore the Now & Next information could fade on when the panning stops (white on dark yet snowy backgrounds, and black on ground snow backgrounds).
