I am so glad to see that BBC2 will be showing the Morecambe and Wise Christmas Show in proper primetime slot.
Its good that they will also show the 1973 Christmas edition of the generation game.
Does anyone remember a few years back, Five used to show classic christmas comedy, usually on Boxing Day? I remember one year they showed the Morecambe and Wise Xmas Show from their Thames Television era, along with Benny Hill, Robins Nest etc.
I wonder if they will be doing the same again this year?
I have heard they will show An Audience with Bruce Forsyth, I wonder when this was recorded?

Yeah Five did show some ITV Morecambe and Wise shows until about five years ago ... Made my Christmas it did.
Feathers is waving. Does this mean he's changed his ways?
Funny you should say that, if you watch the clip just before they go into the zoo you can see a picture on the wall saying Feathers is missing. Could it be significant?
And great BBC1 schedules too. Is this the only year we've not had some Before They Were Famous type programme on BBC1 on Christmas Day in recent memory?

What's this? When are they doing that? It'll be great to get some different Christmas repeats this year. I liked Five's retro Christmas nights with old ITV shows, but some of the repeats weren't as funny as their BBC counterparts.

Oh My God that looks brilliant!! Bill Cotton was the best Head Of Light Entertainment Auntie ever had. Hopefully they'll have clips of Mike Yarwood, a forgotten genius if you ask me.
