Probably the feature film "Curse of the Were-Rabbit". The Beeb are showing all the Wallace and Gromit films this Christmas, hence why there is emphasis on the duo in the Christmas Pres.

Someone on DS has posted ITV's schedule will be (and yes I know this needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.......)

18.00 Emmerdale Farm
19.00 Coronation Street
20.00 Dancing on Ice at Christmas
21.30 TBA
22.30 Stanley Baxter: Now and Then

Good move putting Dancing on Ice on Christmas Day IMO, its popular and could give BBC some competition for once, and nice to see something different to a 2 hour drama or film after the soaps. Wonder what could go in the 9.30pm slot tho?

Well Emmerdale Farm hasnt been on at Christmas for nearly 20 years now Wink but seriously I was expecting Emmerdale and Corrie to both be on at least half an hour later than they are. Isnt 6pm a bit early for Emmerdale? Could explain why Doctor Who is at 6pm tho so it clashes with Emmerdale and not Corrie.

An It'l Be alright on christmas night would go well in the 9.30 slot, or an audience with type of program with everyone singing christmas songs.

Probably just get celebrity millionaire or somthing of that nature tho. Plus a news bulitin

Very nice, surprised that Gold actually gives a damn about Christmas. Wonder if the other UKTV channels have anything instore?

It'll no doubt be Celebrity Millionaire. It's been on so much I didn't actually realise it was still going. It just sort of sinks into the background because it's pretty dull viewing now.

Interesting if that does happen and that they put up some sort of fight for Christmas. I do think that if they were to do Dancing on Ice on Christmas Day that it could be beneficial to split Corrie into 2 half hours to top and tail it, to try and bring an audience later on into the evening.
It would be nice if they included TV Burp in there somewhere, like last Christmas Day.

As for the missing hour, it'll be alright on the night would work, re arrange the schedules and get Ant & Dec in there somewhere. It's a shame that they haven't done a Benidorm Christmas special, it would have been interesting to see how that would affect things.

A question for those who may know of research into it;
why do the majority watch BBC One on Christmas Day?

I can understand the logic of people leaving a channel on in the background, but why does BBC One always seem to have the upper hand. Is it down to ITV not trying, or other factors?

Looks like once again C4 won't air their Alternative Message at 3pm - instead it's at 4pm, with Deal or No Deal at 3pm.
