RE: BBC2 programming - I hope they do something like they did a few years back, when they aired repeats of comedy shows late at night (ie. http://thetvroom.com/images/pool-4/403/main-001-d-29.jpg).

Unfortunately the picture link isn't working. I hope BBC2 repeat soime different Christmas specials this year. They've shown Porridge and Some Mothers virtually for the last three years. Rolling Eyes

Will BBC1 have some classic Christmas comedy repeats in the afternoons like in some previous years I wonder.

Link fixed.

On another point - any ideas on what the Radio Times cover will be this year?

My guess goes to Wallace & Gromit.

Or will it be a traditional scene I wonder?

4 music have started to use Christmas pres today, there's now a constantly animation DOG emitting stars. This only a week after TMF started using their christmas pres. Why do the music channels start their Christmas so early? It's not even December.

Does seem too early. Don't suppose there's any chance of them persuading their big brother to join in the festivities? Wink

No doubt the Dad's Army Christmas Special (My Brother and I) will be out again on BBC2 this year - always a great laugh.

I enjoyed the late night comedy repeats a few years ago and 'Don't Watch That, Watch This' which they don't seem to make anymore of.

Are there any Christmas TV listings in today's Sunday papers? I think if there is the schedules will be pretty much confirmed with very few TBA's as the xmas schedules are soon to be signed off by the broadcasters (middle of next week I think).

I assume so because I remember buying a Sunday paper last year and it had a Christmas TV guide.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there will be a Not Going Out Christmas special on BBC1.

If it's anything like last year there will have been schedules in today's tabloids that are different from last week's and are different from the real ones

Didnt notice any Christmas schedules in the papers but my newsagent put the listings mags for 6th-12th Dec on sale today. Some shops dont have them out yet tho and still have listings for 29th Nov-5th Dec on display.

Yes I don't think there were any xmas listings in today's Sunday papers, but I did get hold of the next issue of Total TV guide with listings for 6th-12th December. The next issue is due out this Thursday 4th December and the Christmas issue is due out the following Tuesday 9th December.

This Morning has gone Christmasy with snowflakes on the titles (they look crap though Rolling Eyes ), and also one sting of a shot of an Ice Rink.

Apparently the Paul O'Grady Show will have their Christmas decorations up from today. I saw that Loose Women had theirs up today.

Seems each programme is now getting into their Christmas items earlier and earlier.

With the tv guides, most tv gudes for Christmas will only be finalised around 11th December before being published I think. BBC and ITV have always said that they only have their confirmed schedules 12 days before broadcast.
