Argh, up against the Strictly final? It has no chance.

Is the Strictly final on Christmas Day this year?

No, Jez said it was scheduled for "the saturday" - I presumed he meant the 20th i.e. the night of the Strictly final.

Won't it be on the Saturday 27th?

Seems to be the 27th rather than the 20th.

Will ITV not bother to release anything such as a press release for Christmas, seems as though they've already released one for next year?

I'm trying to think back a couple of months ago, didn't they mention a For One Night Only Christmas special? Fern Britton said last week that they are going to film a Christmas Mr & Mrs.

Is there any news on any other channels/networks other than BBC doing anything to their presentation for Christmas, such as ITV, Channel 4 (I know it's a long shot, but they do seem to have a large Christmas schedule), five, sky, etc.?

No, not with voting and all that. The Christmas Day Strictly is a pre-recorded affair with audience voting that doesn't have any point other than being an hour of niceness.

4 music have started to use Christmas pres today, there's now a constantly animation DOG emitting stars. This only a week after TMF started using their christmas pres. Why do the music channels start their Christmas so early? It's not even December.

RE: BBC2 programming - I hope they do something like they did a few years back, when they aired repeats of comedy shows late at night - ie. http://thetvroom.com/images/pool-4/403/main-001-d-29.jpg
