I know, I know its August... but I really need your help. Im making a tv programme about the greatest ever Christmas TV moments and we want your ideas!!!!

What's your favourite/weirdest/worst christmas tv memory?

Let us know and then when the programme goes on telly, you can sit back and tell everyone you came up with that idea!

To get you in the Christmas Tv mood:

my favourite moment was the Alternative Christmas Speech by Ali G.
my worst tv moment was Noel Edmonds!
and my cringiest moment was St Winifreds Grandma song

I don't think Noel Edmonds would be in my worst list at all.

Most of my friends and family have shed a tear over his 'Christmas Presents' show at some point.

I think the 'golden era' of Christmas Tv has gone, but there was nothing like a good film like ET, or Only Fools and Horses to get everyone settled around the box.

Christmas Presents was a good show, far better than anything thats been shown after the old Queen on BBC1 since!

Crossroads Christmas episodes are really the only soap that bothered to make Christmas that little bit more special, and not depressing! I suppose everyone remembers the sing-a-long episode(s).

Stanley Baxter's Christmas shows, including the Queens Speech spoofs.

The sit-com specials.. like Keeping Up Appearances, One Foot In The Grave ect.

I think the most memorable TV christmas for me would be 1996 and the last episodes of Only Fools and Horses. The best (and sadest) TV christmas ever. Got over 20 million viewers those episodes if I recall too!

Well until they went and ruined it back in 2001! Rolling Eyes

I think the best bit of Christmas telly is always the French and Saunders Christmas special.

Christmas Day 1996 on BBC1 was fab all the way through! There was a brand new Aunties Bloomers, Jurassic Park Premiere, Only Fools and Horses where "Batman and Robin" ran through the streets of Peckham and the brilliant Vicar of Dibley episode involving several Christmas dinners. That is one of my best Christmas memories. I like the song Ding Dong Merrily On High in Dibley where the bit about "Gloria" just goes on and on in lowere and lower keys! They certainly don't make Christmas night schedules as strong as that now! And that was just 8 years ago. how things have changed.

I usually only watch the Queen's speech on Christmas Day - most of my time's usually taken up going to three church services in 24 hours (Midnight Mass, Christmas morning family service and Evening service). What with the presents, relatives and meals, we don't really have a lot of time for television on Christmas Day.....

I'm just watching last year's My Family Christmas Special on UK Gold now and I have to say that was probably the best thing on last Christmas, especially the Richard Whiteley cameo, add it onto the way Nick responds, it is probably one of the best episodes they have made of My Family.

Havent the BBC scored Harry Potter & The Philosophers Stone for this years big christmas terrestrial premiere. A good family film which could guarentee the BBC the run of the Christmas Day ratings.

And isnt it a bit early to be talking about Christmas, cant we wait til the first of September. Laughing
