TV3 and 3e have launched their Christmas presentation today. Nothing new for 3e - its reusing the 2009/10 package. I have just seen 1 of the new TV3 Christmas idents and so far it looks to be an excellent package.

S4C is festive today too - and with a genuine Christmas theme - the Nativity.

Very nice. Better than ITV's efforts.

5* and 5usa have also started with their Christmas ident today (they didn't get any last year).

5* has a nice variation on it's usual idents, in a green screen studio:

And 5USA has it's third variation of it's chritmas ident (it's been used with the previosu two logos):

Incase you were wondering, here's what it looked like the previous two times:

Christmas E-Stings on E4 (does that E4 symbol share similarities with the 2?!)

Christmas idents have appeared on Film4 in recent days. One ident shows a person throwing a snowball at another person in slow motion. The logo forms up when face/snowball contact occurs. The second ident shows a red bauble (glass) falling off a tree and shattering on the laminated floor. While some trailers have been given a snowy treatment, others have not.

Possible they've been used in previous years. More4 have in the past had Panto characters introduce their idents - but that's a few years ago.

A shame though C4 themselves do nothing - they used to at least change their breakbumpers, but even some poor Text Santa style effort with regular idents tweaked on the cheap would be better than nothing.
