Christmas Television 2011

CBBC is using Christmas pres. Not often that it starts the same day as grown-up BBC, but it's the main channels that are early, not CBBC that is late.

I saw a trailer for Christmas on BBC2 and I thought "They're going to have a new ident this year!!!"

It looks like a town.

And BBC One started tonight at 5.30pm. They've cut in sequences from the consider yourself promo for the idents and the resolve was focused on a plate or cake I think. Hmm.

Just seen the Slade music video going out on Vh1 - it still has a banner at the bottom saying it has reentered the chart between 80-86. Would have thought this would have been blurred out.

I think BBC1 will have a few.

Why would it be blurred out? Did it have a swear word in it?

It's out of date, and has been since 1986.


On a side note, the Christmas idents for BBC One seem to be playing out in HD this year. And I just saw an ITV Sport in 2012 trailer on ITV1.
