For those who have to hand their copy of the newly-privatised RADIO TIMES for next week, this may come as something of a surprise, since in its star-studded Christmas Preview, RT claims that AB FAB will be shown on ITV1.....

Misprint then; the website says the Beeb.

They've done the same with the BBC 1 Comedy Drama Lapland.....on ITV 1 apparently!

BTW Has there been any genuine Xmas ident confirmation yet? I'd heard something about Penguins (doubt that) or a Woollen Santa (could be on a jumper perhaps!).

Speaking of which, the new trail has launched, as a spoof of the John Lewis advert (see it on a website http://www.channel4.com/programmes/gordons-christmas-cookalong-live/articles/gordons-christmas-cookalong-live-trail). What I didn't realise is that the programme will be LIVE on Christmas Day. I can't remember any programme, except news, and religious programmes being on Live. I have read tht Andi Peters did the 1993 Live & Kicking Live on Christmas Day with guests Take That.

Is it something that has died out in recent years?

It's something that Ramsay has experienced before--he presented another cookery programme live a few years ago at Christmas on Channel Four.

GOLD is re-using last year's Christmas ident.

Which is the same as the previous one but with "Go On Laugh Daily" replaced by "stick something funny on".
