I agree. Nowhere near as star studded as this promo from 1993 which no-one's mentioned on this thread, say on a previous page, at all....

I've corrected it for you Wink

Classic trails from both 1993 and 2011, also of note is that David Jason, Bruce Forsyth and Lenny Henry are in both.

Can any one see Brucie during the outside scene & logo form up? Maybe it's a game of 'where's Brucie', and he's up the top of a lamppost or something.

Not sure if it's been mentioned before- but I may have spotted a Christmas endboard on one of ITV's promos? The background showed some grey/blue smoke trails (or something similar) shooting upwards. I assume this means the festive ident will be put into use next weekend?

That's the special background that they're using for the music specials with Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Westlife & Michael Bublé over the next few weekends.

It used in the longer promo that ends with that design, logo & text appearing on a video wall.
According to Lamboe Nairn the Text Santa animations will be used on idents from 10th Dec, and the trailer launched on ITV1 last night.

Something I will miss forever this time of year is the Advent Calendars on Ceefax and Teletext.

Finally saw the Coke Trucks earlier bit of a change from the endless Currys ads, sensible date too.

To make this post meaningful, here's a pretty ident from Disney Cinemagic.

And something from Viasat in the Nordic/Baltic countries:

That is so true. I loved the advent calendars. Sad

And talking of idents I think BBC1 and BBC2 will be changing to Christmas presentation on December 10th.

I agree, this date would seem likely especially as BBC1's christmas trailers have already started airing. I think they will want to get their "money's worth" from this ident as I imagine it's their most expensive one yet. Also ITV1 appear to be launching their xmas ident on this date too.

Not that I'm complaining, though. I think the bbc1 ident will look very nice judging by the trailer endboard.

I really like the Disney Cinemagic one too!
