Does anyone know/remember any of the Christmas Peaktime Schedules from the past 10 years?

It would be interesting to compare say a 1990 one to a 2000 one.

Do you know, I'm sure there's an article concentrating on this sort of thing at www.offthetelly.co.uk - but do you think I can find it... Embarassed

Have a look though... although I should warn you, you could be there for hours... so many fascinating things to read!

If you tap in TV and Radio Bits, then you can see BBC1 and BBC2 schedules for EVERY Christmas from the early 1970's right up to last year. ITV's have been virtually identical since 1999!

They were quite different last year in the fact that Millionnaire was basically pre prime time, and they had world idol and creature comforts.

As I posted here a while ago, a good christmas schedule for ITV would be to use elements that have worked for them over the past 12 months, along with the soaps, and actually make things happy rather than misery! We have enough of that in real life, and the one day that many forget about misery, TV companies come along and provide it!

I know that there were rumours of Midsummer Murders on Christmas Night, but I thing that this would be more suited for 9pm on the Boxing Day (Sunday evening), and it would also keep the normal schedule in order, if they aired a Heartbeat Christmas Special at 8!
