Didn’t do well last year opposite a Harry Potter, so no surprise it’s going earlier and BBC1 are trying to lock in the younger viewers up to The Queen with Shaun The Sheep.
TOTP is on early on Christmas Day. No more “And next - the Queen” signoff.

For some reason it's on Tuesday 2nd.
Weird. There isn't even a Sky game on the 2nd that would explain it (there is on the 1st and 3rd).
Shouldn’t there be a match of the day on New Year’s Day on bbc 1 as there# a full lis5 9f premier league fixtures

The one thing I came here to mention has already been posted in dvboy's screengrabs - the New Year's Day Concert from Vienna will be in full on BBC Two, rather than having its first half on the red button only. (Which means an opportunity to enjoy the whole thing in 5.1, provided Red Bee don't accidentally flag it as stereo again)
I see BBC One have stuck to the same formula for New Year's Eve - presumably they've got a block booking on Westminster Central Hall again. Presumably Scotland are doing the same as usual from Glasgow's Old Fruitmarket with Jackie Bird, a ceilidh band and someone Frightened Rabbit-y for the youngsters.

I have a funny feeling there will be Still Game special that night along side Only an Excuse and some other stuff before we get Ceilidh.

And Is GMB on air 27/28/29th of December?
According to Digiguide, CITV and the film K-9 on Dec 27 during the ITV Breakfast franchise slots. GMB and Lorraine on 28 and 29th.

Don't have any regional variations yet.

Good to see The Snowman back in it's rightful Christmas Eve slot - think it has moved slightly over the last couple of years, though has clearly been given a higher profile since the Snowdog film a few years back.
Other than that it's the usual stuff and Christmas specials of all the years biggest hits - Partners in Rhyme, Even Better than the Real Thing, Cannonball and Tim Vines Travel through Times. Remember when hit series used to have to wait years to earn a Christmas special?
The BBC definately missing the Agatha Christie series, whilst from the 27th-29th ITV basically has the same schedule from 1pm to 11pm with Midsomer Murders, the daytime quizzes, soaps and Harry Potter.

Which version will they be showing though? They seem to have been showing the Bowie 4:3 version the last couple of years, rather than the Mel Smith/Sants cropped to 16:9 one.
