Unfortunatley I missed the People's New Year TV Guides today. Does anybody know BBC2's schedule for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?

If you aren't sure about watching Doctor Who this Christmas just look at the 30 second trailer on the Doctor Who website!! Shocked

Indeed, this Christmas episode looks like it has the best visual effects of the new series so far.

According to Outpost Gallifrey's forums, the trailer will be on at around 8.00pm tonight on BBC1, just before Sports Personality of the Year, and at around the same time on BBC2, just before Top Gear. It has apparently already been shown on BBC1 Scotland yesterday and today.

That only has listings up to Friday 30th December. In The People today apparently there were New Year schedules provided.

Wait a minute, no New Years show?

Hopefully BBC Scotland are doing their traditional Scottish programming (eg, Chewin' the Fat). Smile

BBC One Scotland looks like this:
10.35pm: Hogmanay Live - Countdown to the Bells (with Jackie Bird, of course)
10.45pm: Only an Excuse
11.15pm: Chewin' The Fat
11.45pm: Hogmanay Live - from Edinburgh Castle, with KT Tunstall and Texas in Princes Street Gardens. "Jackie is also thrilled to be able to greet the huge crowd gathered in Edinburgh from her vantage point at the castle via the giant screens on Prince's Street."

Slightly different than before - isn't Jackie Bird usually in the studio with the Scottish dancing?

I suppose it depends what this Paul Zennon thing is. If not there will no doubt be ITV News Headlines and Big Ben at 11.58pm with the duty newsreader like they've done the last 5 years
