Do any of the Christmas TV Guides have a Corrie cover this year ? I'm looking at Jez here
Why are you asking me, ive just said they are not on sale down here yet, they are coming in tommorow. Ask someone who has already seen them although id suggest as you already know the answer to your question.
It's normally what you look out for though, isn't it? :p

For the THIRD time, they are not on sale in W H Smith in my area or my local newsagent, so its pointless asking me who is on the cover.
And so what if I collect tv guides with Corrie covers and articles in them, im a fan of the show and collect Corrie things, thats what people do when they are fans of something.
Still no Radio Times here. What is strange is that all the other magazines, even including TV Easy and Total TV Guide are all out
None of the Christmas magazines are out down here yet and some shops havent even put out the issue for 10th-16th December yet!
Got my Christmas RT from the newsagent in Fletchers Walk by Alpha Tower in Birmingham city centre today. I needn't have bothered - looks like I'll be watching any DVDs I get that night. EastEnders is on too late (not that I watch it). I think Shrek followed by Toy Story 2 is a bit too much US animation in one go. ITV's schedule is much as expected (ie dull), but the BBC have really failed this year. The BBC's Boxing night schedule looks very poor too.
In what way have they failed? I do appreciate your comments but all in all the schedules are not really that bad are they? What would you like to see on Christmas Day? How could the schedules be better? I don't think they are as good as last years schedule but they are better than 2002's. I mean, they had Ground Force on Christmas Day in 2002.
ITV's Boxing Day schedule is a joke! Corrie followed by Corrie......followed by er Corrie and then to top it off Corrie!! Don't complain about BBC1 too much at least it is showing a varied schedule: 5.30 Hard Spell 6.00 BRAND NEW As Time Goes By
6.45 BRAND NEW Celebrate Oliver! (Getting a lot of stick but just a good old fashioned entertainment show that people are crying for) 8.00 (After the news) Eastenders 8.30 BRAND NEW Outtake TV 9.00 MOVIE PREMIERE: Minority Report.
All in all, not a bad line up compared to ITV's Corrie Overkill.
I don't really expect ITV's Christmas schedules to be up to much, the advertising space isn't at a premium - I agree with the Corrie "specials" overkill though.
Did I complain that BBC1 will be showing lots of repeats rather than "BRAND NEW" shows? I don't think I did, however two of these "Brand New" shows are either resurected from the dead (As Time Goes By), or same-old outtake clips shows? Then it's Eastenders - woo ! The Oliver thing may be ok, but Oliver is one of those musicals always dragged out because "everyone loves Oliver" - yawn. The Film premiere is ok.
I think BBC1 Christmas day is dissapointing, I doubt my folks (where I'll be for most of the day) will want any of it on, and I think that's a first. I think Toy Story 2 could've strengthened Boxing Day, and they should have comissioned some home-grown material for that slot on Christmas Day. I'll watch the Two Ronnies, but had Ronnie B not died this year, I'd say it was a bit poor to put a clips show on Christmas night. As to what they'd put on instead - it shows that apart from a couple of big hits this year, there's precious little else that BBC1 does to be able to showcase at Christmas, in my opinion.
As for BBC2 - it's full of lazy repeats again, very few gems shining out for me.
Why did'nt ITV hang onto Harry Potter 2 til xmas day??? makes no sense to me
Because advertising revenue in the weeks leading up to Christmas is much more in demand than it is after 5pm on Christmas Eve when all the presents and food have been bought. That's why you'll find lots of those nasty magazine partworks are launched in January, and why ITV schedule their ratings bankers like I'm A Celebrity and X Factor climax in the weeks before Christmas.
Got our TV guide yesterday in WHSmiths - but they were well hidden! While the TV Choices were on display, the others were tucked away in a corner behind the counter!
There's still no Radio Times here. The cardboard point of display units are out with all the other sections filled and the RT one still empty!
So much for 'Out Tuesday or even sooner'!
At Least you had all of your other tv guides out over the weekend. I had to wait until today to get my TV Quick as the Christmas tv guides didnt go on sale in Wales until this morning. We have no Radio Times on sale yet down here either. I might get it though when it comes out just for the Doctor Who stuff in it.
