So is everyone rushing out today to buy their copy of the festive tv mags.

Personally I've made a point of not looking at Digiguide listings so as not to spoil it.

Ha ha, well as I was in town, popped to WHSmith, they had those special green boxes near the tills for the TV Mags, but only had TV Times and TV Quick, no RT yet.

Anyway, looking through, the Christmas Day schedule is all very neat and tidy this year isn't it ? 6, 7, 8 & 9 start times on BBC & ITV

Could be a share of the ratings this year, my predictions :

6pm My Family vs Emmerdale - Emmerdale win
7pm Doctor Who vs WWTBAM celebrity - Doctor Who win
8pm Green Green Grass vs Corrie - Corrie win
9pm Eastenders vs Booze Cruise 2 - could be close, Booze Cruise could be a surprise but probably Eastenders

Incidentally, the WWTBAM Celebrity is Terry Wogan with the person who bid £40,000 to appear on the show in the Children in Need auction. For me, Eastenders is on for too long and too late.

The only things worth watching on Christmas Day are Doctor Who and Coronation Street.

Hoping for another appearance from Bruno Langley are we, Jez? Wink

Are there going to be many regional slots on ITV over the Christmas period. I remember last year there were quite a few slots in the run up to Christmas for local shows.

Please forgive me if this has already been asked, but why did ITV show Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets tonight instead of waiting for christmas?

More advertising revenue at the moment than over Christmas, as all the Christmas products are being advertised. Over Christmas its just ads for the January sales.

Boxing Day looks dire - 2.5 hours of Corrie!

Although an hour of that is the panto so something a bit different. That said, with Christmas Day falling on a Sunday, there is no room for the Eastenders Omnibus. So that's taking up 2hrs 50 minutes of BBC One on Boxing Day afternoon. Personally I'd rather be down the DFS sale. Shocked

Really? The way Corrie's been lately, I would have thought the entire evening would be panto.

and over on BBC1 on Boxing Day evening.

"Celebrate Oliver!" presented by Shane Ritchie and a host of stars perform songs from the musical.

Isn't that what ITV1 would call Oliver Mania?

There's also a return of that spelling thing with Eammon Holmes instead of World's Strongest Man this year

So thats in place of EastEnders Christmas Party this year - unless thats on as well is it? Rolling Eyes

I'm so appalled with the BBC's scheduling this year its just disappointing. Although, I am saying this without having my copy of the RadioTimes Christmas TV guide so...i may change my view.

Surprise surprise, look what BBC2 are showing a few mornings during the second week of the xmas fortnight? None other than 'ANIMAL PARK'. This is being flogged to death on BBC2 at the moment, pretty much like 'FLOG IT!'.
Yet more lazy scheduling Smile
