Anyway, looking through, the Christmas Day schedule is all very neat and tidy this year isn't it ? 6, 7, 8 & 9 start times on BBC & ITV

Could be a share of the ratings this year, my predictions :

6pm My Family vs Emmerdale - Emmerdale win
7pm Doctor Who vs WWTBAM celebrity - Doctor Who win
8pm Green Green Grass vs Corrie - Corrie win
9pm Eastenders vs Booze Cruise 2 - could be close, Booze Cruise could be a surprise but probably Eastenders

Incidentally, the WWTBAM Celebrity is Terry Wogan with the person who bid £40,000 to appear on the show in the Children in Need auction. For me, Eastenders is on for too long and too late.

Celeb Millionaire has really killed off the show for me, as celeb specials just aren't that anymore as there on all the time, not just at Christmas.

What are BBC2, C4 and five doing Christmas Day then?

Millionaire needs a serious revamp or axing TBH. It's just so dated now and samey. Rolling Eyes

Square Eyes is right though, it does look as though it's pretty much a 50% split between the BBC and ITV this Christmas.

Does anyone know what old films BBC2 are showing during the first week of the xmas fortnight. The BBC1 & BBC2 listings don't appear to be listed in the BBC Press Office schedules before the 7pm slot.

Fair to say that celebrity WWTBAM does better than standard shows now, ratings wise. All in all I think the ITV1 schedule more than holds its own against BBC1 this year. Can't believe BBC1 is showing Grren Green Grass. Hope the booze cruise is good as the last one, I laughed so much I was in pain.

Boxing Day looks dire - 2.5 hours of Corrie!

So is everyone rushing out today to buy their copy of the festive tv mags.

Personally I've made a point of not looking at Digiguide listings so as not to spoil it.

Ha ha, well as I was in town, popped to WHSmith, they had those special green boxes near the tills for the TV Mags, but only had TV Times and TV Quick, no RT yet.

Anyway, looking through, the Christmas Day schedule is all very neat and tidy this year isn't it ? 6, 7, 8 & 9 start times on BBC & ITV

The only things worth watching on Christmas Day are Doctor Who and Coronation Street.

No RT here either, are there any in Yorkshire?. I managed to get a WOT though.

Looking at Christmas Day. In previous years it has looked as if BBC1 has had the upper hand and ITV1 have been playing catch up, with shows starting at funny times etc.

This year its the complete opposite, with all their line up in slots you would expect. BBC1 is all over the place. Corrie is on at 8 so its as if the BBC have said 'EastEnders has to be after Corrie, so 9pm'

My Family is also a bit early at 7, A 50 minute long comedy at 8pm is also strange. Plus they've had to schedule both evening news bulletins less than 2 hours apart, at 6.50pm and then again at 8.50pm. They might as well just record the first one and play it out again!

With Shane Ritchie on the cover. Its so predictable.

ITV's Christmas Day schedule is also predictable, i said on the day this thread started that Corrie, Em and WWTBAM would be on Christmas Day. I got the times wrong though but did predict they would be on the hour or half hour.
