Something else that tickled me - a C4 programme called something like "2005: The year the weather went mad" - with the description going on to say how it analyses the Boxing Day Tsunami - of 2004!

I look forward to seeing how they manage to blame the weather for an earthquake.

I got the copy with The Mirror today, a bit sad to see The Snowman on at 8.30am on Christmas Eve, considering it was shown at 2.30pm on Christmas Day last year. Was hoping ITV would show Mr Bean again, but instead it just appears to be loads of episodes of Airline and Catchphrase.

On Christmas Day ITV looks better, just the usual things, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Booze Cruise 2 and The South Bank Show focusing on Little Britain which looks like one to keep an eye on.

Some good films are on too, such as Toy Story 2, Chicago, Mrs Doubtfire, Goodfellas.

All in all I don't think this years festive offerings are particularly enticing. A bit rushed and desperate in some instances.

I notice Coronation Street is 90 minutes...

Surely not...

The same I think could be said of your thread announcing there are 30 days until Christmas.

No offense.

Mirror has the same schedule but with a 1 hour Emmerdale followed by 1 hour Corrie. Im not sure I like the idea of 90 minutes of Corrie, isnt the usual hour enough Rolling Eyes Overkill again

It's obviously a typo

There's no way they would have a 90 min edition, and there's no way it will be on at that time, opposite both episodes of EastEnders. It'll probably move to 8.15

I used to like it when The Snowman was on at 16.30 on Christmas Eve.

Embarassed Sorry, yes it was a typo - I'm obviously used to Coronation Street starting at 7:30 all the time, even though I don't watch it! Plus I was in a bit of a hurry typing that out this morning, but it looks like it was the only mistake I made!

One thing I find interesting, is that BBC1 lists a Regional News bulletin at 6pm on Christmas Day Evening - I think that's a bit of a mistake as the regional newsrooms don't operate on Christmas Day usually do they?

Another thing you might notice from the Mirror's listings is that Five has two programmes starting at 10:15 on Christmas Eve morning... Milkshake and Home and Away - I think it might be more likely to be Home and Away though, so that's what I've put...
