Christmas Day on BBC1:

10.00 Stranger in the Manger
11.00 Eastenders Omnibus
12.50 BBC News
1.00 Top of the Pops Christmas Party 2005
2.00 The Snow Queen
3.00 The Queen
3.10 Dear Father Christmas
3.55 FILM PREMIERE: Toy Story 2
5.15 Songs of Praise: The Nations Favourite Carols
6.00 BBC News
6.10 My Family Christmas Special
6.50 EastEnders
7.30 Doctor Who
8.25 EastEnders
9.05 The Two Ronnies Christmas Sketchbook
10.10 BBC News
10.20 French and Saunders Christmas Special
11.00 FILM: TBA
12.50 Christmas Epilogue
12.55 FILM: TBA
2.30 News 24

Looking Likely????

Good guess on the whole, however...
Arrow Songs of Praise won't be on Christmas Day
Arrow I can't see an EastEnders omnibus turning up either.
Arrow Top Of The Pops normally runs at 2pm.
Arrow I've not seen anything on the BBC 'Be On A Show' website or on Ceefax so far indicating that there will be 'dream Christmas present' style show this year. EDIT Blue Peter are doing something very similar along these lines, but don't think it'll air on 25/12.
Arrow Two Ronnies is more likely to be on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day
Arrow Doctor Who may start earlier in the evening, not later. BBC One normally run a film up against the hour long Corrie.

Not bad though - Hatton Cross gives you 7.6 out of 10

It was announced recently (30 October) during Songs of Praise's Big Sing that Songs of Praise WOULD be broadcast on Christmas Day. Also, EastEnders would also have to have its omnibus and the 11.00 time slot seems a more likely slot for that. Granted, there may not be a Dear Father Christmas style pro gramme this year but you never know! I had a notion that The Two Ronnies would air on Christmas Day because of the following:

With Christmas Eve falling on a Saturday I reckon the first part of Casualty@Holby City will go out then with the conclusion on boxing Day. I also think Sweeney Todd will go out on Boxing Day in the slot Sherlock Holmes had last year. Don't forget Christmas Day is a Sunday so Songs of Praise will go out on this day as it did in 1994 when Christmas Day was last on a Sunday. (Albeit at 10.00am) for a live service. I know Stranger in the Manger is on at 10.00am on Christmas Day because it is listed under Advent then programmes and it does clearly state aswell that Songs of Praise will be on Christmas Day.

BBC1 Only showed a film during Corrie last year. In 2003 they showed a Parkinson special and in 2002 they showed a Ground Force special and in 2001 The Lost World was shown. Thanks for your input though I have taken it onboard and gone back to thinking ground!

The double issue will no doubt start to appear in good shops on Saturday 3rd December

I will be at work on Sunday, so I'll make a special point ringing my wholesaler to find out when we can expect the Christmas issue. Going by past years, I think that it will be delivered to stores by Wednesday 30th November, but embargoed to the Saturday.

If Strictly come dancing you refer to is the UK Vs US special, then it's not live, and the studio audience will be picking the winner so there's no need for a results show later in the evening.

However, if it's this current series final you mean - then I agree.

And sorry about my comments re: Songs of Praise. I didn't know it's already been billed as being on Christmas Day (in which case I suspect they'll run it after the live morning service, or at 3.10) as you've probably worked out this show is not in my Sky plus series link planner!

Totally different to last year. Normal programmes on BBC1 stopped on 18th December to make way for the Christmas schedules. This year (thankfully) it seems the Christmas schedules will begin at 7.00pm on 23rd December. Neighbours and normal daytime programming on BBC1 all the preceding week and ITV relatively normal but for Catchphrase and You've Been Framed in the 5pm slot.

Does this mean that Christmas idents on the BBC will air from 23 December until 2 January? Much better if they do!
HC
Hatton Cross
OK, so apparently this Blue Peter Gold award programme will air on Christmas Day - so that's at least one conformation in the schedule.

For those that prefer there broadcasting without the pictures, BBC Radio have released their festive goodies (with times and days) and it's now on the BBC Press Office minisite

Picked up the Mirror guide today. Flicked through the Sun and though it says 14 day guide on the cover, it doesn't seem to be listings. The Star also has a guide in it.

I expect some of the Sunday papers will have one this weekend, usually highlighted as the first glossy magazine guide.

Nothing too exciting - C4 and five seem to have the most complete listings, though of course these are subject to change. Storylines seem to be listed for most soaps except Coronation Street, which in the listings is described on most days as "Festive fun and drama".

Ant and Dec Christmas Takeaway on the Saturday, not the Sunday, with Booze Cruise 2 the main ITV offering on Christmas Day.

Something else that tickled me - a C4 programme called something like "2005: The year the weather went mad" - with the description going on to say how it analyses the Boxing Day Tsunami - of 2004!

Also, BBC3 are having a Little Britain night with six of the best episodes from series 1 and 2, with commentary from Matt and David on Interactive. Nice feature - but surely things like this affect the DVD sales!

ITV's listings seem to be quite complete this year. I didnt see many TBA's in the schedule.

Why didnt the Sun have listings though, whats the point in advertising a 14 day tv guide when all it includes is highlights
