I still think some of the xmas pres from years gone by was pretty decent and a few of the ITV companies did make an effort:

STV- 1987-1995: http://www.tv-live.org.uk/wp/index.php/itv/regions/scottish/scottish-television-christmas/

ITV 1991, which I think is one of the most underated xmas pres out there.

Of course BBC Scotland always seems to have out do the network offerings, back in the 1980s

Does anyone else have a favorite Xmas pres of the past?

Why not indeed!!

My personal favourite BBC One ident was the 1999 "Northern Lights" Santa hologram which was sadly only shown for 3 days!

BBC Two's latest Christmas ident is wonderful. It's about to be used for the third year running- however I really don't mind as it's just so good.

I have a fondness for last year's offering from ITV as well. It was quite unexpected and different to any Christmas ident they'd ever done before. In some recent years, they didn't bother at all.

A classic. from 1990. Can anyone remember this being used in 1988 or 1989?

That BBC1 Scotland ident looks very similar in concept to the previous year's BBC2 Network effort.
