I have always liked the theme Sky Sports use at Christmas time, with decorated trees in the studios and snowmen on their idents and graphics. It keeps the channels consistent with the rest of the year whilst adding recognition of the season as well.
If the presentation is pleasent and versatile, there is no need to change it. I don't like attitudes that everything has to be new.

Just spotted some Christmas presentation items on S4/C
An animating star made up of different coloured blobs!

Not so on NI - They've ditched the box... and centered 'Northern Ireland' below the '2' on their symbol!
Looks so much better than that awful box on the network.
Not so keen on BBC2's ident - on the one hand it's good they could do anything and then just end it like that, but I was hoping for better.
