...And Becky Wright on BBC2.

What more could we want?

Watched BBC One's but missed BBC Two's, I bet there will be screen caps on here soon, plus One's looks much better on the TV than the web.

Yeah, but that was IMO the only decent 2 at the top of a tree. I must be alone in thinking that the 1993 one was a bit rubbish, over-the-top and not especially Christmassy.

Oh my God you're right. I completely forgot they did one before. You meant this medieavel one didn't you?

It actually won a BAFTA award for best graphics.

And BBC2's ident isn't too bad at this year it has to be said. Reminds me of this one where you have a little animation then the logo is revealed at the end.

BBC2's is very nice, much more classic and stylish than the last couple of years

But I rather suspect it's been designed to be re-used.

Let's hope "value for money" is kicked into touch by 2008 Rolling Eyes

Yes same thing happened to me, but had SCD not been one couple down we could have had the BBC1 ident at 6! And I had to watch the Doctor Who preview!! Oh well I can catch BBC2 in full at 7pm.

Is that their slogan?

Erm, no, it's how I overcame the problem. Recorded BBC2 on the Humax while switching back to record BBC1 live onto disc, then played the BBC2 recording onto the DVD-RAM.

It's true though a lot of viewers get annoyed by this, eg: Watching Top Gear overun and find out you've missed the BBC One drama opening and establishing scene.

The new BBC2 ident is more "classically BBC2" than previous Christmas idents, and makes the yellow robots look very yoof-like in comparison.

Note they have used Gill Sans again for "Subtitles". Maybe they can re-do the ordinary ones with the same during the break? Wink
