Christmas Presentation

Yes I saw it this morning, going into Christmas Voices (No I did not watch it, I just wanted to see the ident)

I've just seen a Christmas trailer for ITV3, very impressed by it, it's their signature red with white/silver 3D snowflakes spinning.

Looks very nice.
I've only seen the Winter promo for ITV2, which is weird, surely the winter promos would be better launching after Christmas, inbetween Christmas and New Year, but maybe that's just me, or maybe ITV2 don't have anything to promote over Christmas.

It would be nice if the ITV channels could do something Christmassy, even if it is to adapt these lovely looking promo graphics. It's only for a week or two at the end of the day, it's something Christmassy, and offers something slightly different to the day to day presentation.

And surely ITV2 could use an edited version of the winter snowstorm ident, with a bit more Christmas music, or add Christmas music and trees to the dancing/party ident. They managed to do it for XXL Thursday, and these would surely get played more than XXL did.

As the BBC, UTV and Rest of the World now have their own threads would members like me to rename this thread 'ITV Christmas Presentation' for discussion of festive pres across the ITV family of channels or would you prefer it to remain as it is now - general discussion about anything Christmas pres related.

Answers on a postcard please.

They look great. Really warm and fuzzy (and I haven't even seen them yet!)

Now wouldn't it be nice if the DOG began its Christmas holidays today...well, we can dream.

The big question remains ITV1. The festive trails are great - the Saturday one is quite BBC-like - now surely it can't have been too much trouble to shoot an ident as part of the package?

stv also "launched" their festive presentation this morning. The break bumper is an "S" on a sleigh.
The promo end-boards have a bit of holly in the corner and faded white blobs trickling down the promo bar.

Well at least it proves the Scots are more festive than their counterparts south of the border!

In the days of regional ITV there was always a very mixed attitude to Christmas pres. Westcountry always got in the spirit as did HTV and Granada, while Meridian (at least in 1993) were apparently the Scrooges and did nothing. A shame networked ITV now appears to favour the Meridian model.

Just caught Five's Christmas ident in full (with announcement), just about to encode and upload.

I would have done it myself, but youtubes being a git witrh me and it's just not working. Tsk.

Wow! That's really nice, I'm very impressed. Probably the most festive out of all the channel's so far.
