A simple but warming festive contribution from Drama as well. I suspect this appeared yesterday as that's when they've been trailing a lot of their seasonal character shows from, but I'm sure dbl can confirm if it's been around for longer.

Yup that's Drama Christmas idents for this year, there are 3 versions and they appear around primetime. Normal idents outside that period. They first TX'd on the 17th.

Which is odd. They added a new ident now... when the entire package is to be axed 10 days from now?

I sure we've seen this before, where new idents have been added to a set shortly before a new look has been brought in and replaced them all. I'm thinking possibly UTV before the ITV style logo was launched (although I may be wrong on that).

I'm guessing they've probably got some unused idents 'on the shelf' which have been held back to add to the set at some time in the future, so they figure they might as well use them now or never.

Not strictly speaking Christmas Idents, but the closest thread I could find for such a little thing like this without starting a new thread or digging up two others. But for those who've not seen them yet, it seems both Channel 4 and UKTV are seeing out the year in almost the same way the BBC were seeing out 2017 with a familiar choice of popular music for a few of their trailers...

I noticed that too. It's a nice piece of music. I associate it with BBC One Christmas now.
