Anyway, this is the final time I am going to comment on Christmas Idents until November. If I do hear anything from the BBC regarding this years ident I will let you all know. CHRISTMAS IS OVER!!!!

Buying films is a bit different from producing idents though, isn't it? There would be no need to plan them this far in advance. But, if I hear anything from the BBC regarding this year's idents I will also let you all know Wink

I can not obviously reveal the identity of my source but I can say that they are able to get access to presentation and TV news. With reference to the dancer idents, there is no indication that the idents are to be based on the dancers but variations of the dancers are scheduled for the forseeable future, at least until November 2005. Even if they were to be axed , it would take 12-18 months to come up with something different. So we are stuck with the dancers for some time to come yet. I personally think it makes sense to devise three more Christmas idents and use them alternately. Somehow I think you'd Know where you are and feel familiar with them without getting bored as you'd know there'd be something different next year. If this information IS NOT Proved to be correct, I will reveal my source!! That's how confident I am. The BBC have said that "No decision has been taken with reference to Christmas 2004 and the programmes and presentation package pending".

I don`t think BBC1 management will be thinking what next year's christmas idents will look like, this would probably only be decided in the months leading up to Christmas; it`s not that important.

Hello this my first post on TVForum, and I have not read all the pages on Xmas Idents, but I can not believe that "Auntie" could not find a few pennies to spend on some new ones for Last Year Sad

Could this be because presentation no longer exists at the BBC ? Rolling Eyes
